If you’re curious about what a late ’70s/early ’80s TSR Star Wars game would be like, look no further than Barrel Rider Games’ White Star: White Box Science Fiction Roleplaying! It’s based on the Swords & Wizardry WhiteBox rules and was released just this past May the 4th. I played a con game this past Memorial Day weekend at the Gamex convention in Los Angeles. The adventure was pretty much Star Wars with the serial numbers filed off in which the PCs were mercenaries working for the “Galactic Consortium” hunting down a “Star Knight,” a follower of “the Way” who wields a “Star Sword.” I adored the simple, free-wheeling OSR rules, and I’m hoping to run a campaign at some time in the near future!
Nice to hear something on this old gem. One that I played back in the day, and have played with a little more recently.
I want to mention starfrontiers.us (now http://sfus.starfrontiers.info/), where there are Star Frontiers rules & modules for download, two fan magazines, and a forum for discussion of this game.
The Frontier ain’t dead yet! The frontierexplorer.org is an active quarterly fan zine producing new material under a license from WotC, conversions to younger rulesets, fiction and general rpg and sci Fi articles.
Thanks guys for those links and your comments. Tom V, is that link active, I could not get to it and wanted to add it into the show notes for links of interest.

This was the sci-fi rpg I grew up with in the early 80’s. Recently got back into it via the Savage Worlds conversion and a little con game I put together with a Lego backbone. Feel free to check it out! http://youtube.com/watch?v=VcP38Lm7f48
