    Love the show. I share the passion for all games dead. CHILL gets my vote for show topics. If you could post or talk about some of your GaryCon session details. Keep gaming brothers.

    We hear ya Marc and we definitely plan to cover Chill. We’ll likely cover the various editions of D&D up to 1st edition AD&D then it’s off into the wilds of other lesser known games.

    If you ever do a podcast on Dangerous Journeys, I would love to get in on it. I have ran games at every Gary Con and given demonstrations there as well. It is what my Players and I have been playing for years. I have a lot of the unpublished material such as Changeling and Unhallowed and more. I know of no one who run this game on a regular basis, let alone running it at conventions. Before Gary Con VI I also ran a Dangerous Journeys game for the staff. This game often gets a bad rap as being unplayable, but not only would I disagree, but I think I have proven otherwise.

    Hey there Eric, Dangerous Journeys will eventually be covered but it may take us a bit to get there as we are attampting to do the shows in a roughly chronological order. Of course in terms of interviews, those will likely not be done so as one never knows when a big name is going to agree to talk with us and we don’t want to keep them waiting.

    That said, I would be happy to have you on the show when we cover that particular game.:)

    Hi from Down Under in Australia!!

    Love your show and have been catching up on episodes. I live in country NSW and have been playing D&D on and off since the Mentzer Red Box Set release in the 80s when I was a teen. I’ve been through all the editions but nothing really matches for me the BECMI/Rules Cyclopedia compilation of the rules…..perhaps maybe 2nd Ed AD&D. But I’m not too fussy here.

    What my questions actually is, I don’t know how much experience you guys have of playing the D100 family of games or anything but I really miss DragonQuest…..have you got that on your list of covering ‘Dead Games’, Chaosium is still going strong with BRP etc etc, The Design Machanism has picked up RuneQuest (RQ6) and given it new life and Moon Design has revived Glorantha as a setting so that still ‘lives’….but DragonQuest is dead…apart from a core group of solid fans online etc etc.

    Would love to see you guys cover it if possible…..love your show.

    Mark.

    @Mark H

    Awesome Kevin, thanks for the info. We’ll try and check it out.:)

    i kinda like your show. an improvement would be more research and better, more informed guests. i was looking forward to your star frontiers show but your guest seemed to do no research and only had a rudementary understanding of the system. your show might benefit from more structure.

    where’s the love, for palladium..or did I miss something..

    I’m talking RIFTS, I’m talking Heros Unlimited….TMNT…..
    the list goes on an on, like a skill list from a palladium game…..
    also…howwa bout covering supers, in general….
    I mean in EDITION < pun to, MSH…..Mayfair has a system ala DC comics,
    and then of course, I would champion a show on…wait for it….Champions…
    you might even want to give Glen Hallstrom a ringing-dinging on that
    system, as he cut his teeth on it…..

    Ciao y Molto bene

    PS….aren't these games more Undead then Dead?…as they have been
    brought back to life….I moniker thee NecroGameMancers™, one and all.

    @ad roc
    Thanks for the feedback Ad Roc, we’re working on trying to get a tighter format. As to the guests, we didn’t actually have any guests for the Star Frontiers episode, that was just the three of us. With the sheer amount of different games we talk about, it’s hard to be an expert on them all. Often I’m afraid, unless it’s a particular system we run all the time, you’ll get a high end discussion on the system from our own limited experience with that system.

    That said, we are always willing to admit mistakes when we make them, and encourage our listeners to leave us voicemail and comments such as this to call us out on something we got wrong in an episode.

    @DM Guiseppe

    We hear you DM Giuseppe and we will definitely be covering the Palladium system in future episodes (Rifts, TMNT, Robotech, etc…). We are trying to establish a more regular recording schedule but there are just so many great out-of-print games and game editions to hit.

    Tell us your favorite “out-of-print” edition of Rifts and always remember, when we say “dead” we say it with love.:)

    Hi guys. Love the show. I discovered it when I was catching up on Roll For Initiative podcasts. (as a side note, binging on a podcast you’ve newly discovered seems to be a very normal behavior. I’m noticing lots of other people do it as well) I just wanted to say that I enjoy the show, especially the interviews. The interviews are top top notch. Merle Rasmussen was great, Everyone really. Ernie was awesome too.

    But that there is one tiny glitch I wanted to point out with your RSS feed. On iTunes the episodes available cuts off at number 8! I believe this has something to do with your Feed settings. Some rss feeds (I wrote an RSS reader a couple of years ago) are capped at say 20 items, or 50 items. It looks like yours caps at 10, that’s the maximum number that the little script will include when iTunes pulls it. This is not a huge deal as I found the earlier shows on your website, but if you tweek that number they all might show up on my iPhone, like RFI and Save or Die do.

    Best to you. I do hope you get to Traveller some day, chiefly because that’s the game I know the least about as I don’t own it.

    Best, Greg

  13. September 4, 2016

    Thanks Greg,I’ll have to talk to Vince over at RFI and find out how he managed to adjust that. And with some luck we may have an upcoming interview with Traveller creator, Marc Miller!

    Howdy,
    I’m interested in joining your group. I’m 49 and have been playing RPG’s off and on since 1979. I’ll be at GaryCon 9 running Ghostbusters RPG and Dr. Who Cubicle7 RPG (yeah, I know it’s not dead, but there is only one other game of it on the schedule), as well as playing in Kris Vizner’s Morrow Project game (AWESOME!). I’m also interested in doing a GhostBusters podcast with you sharing this awesome came with your followers. The other dead RPG’s I play (along with D&D 5e and other new stuff) are Aftermath, Traveller 2300, Twlight 2000 and Car Wars Autoduel RPG, but I am really rusty on those games systems right now, so I would not be able to do any podcasts on them. Stuart Helm p.s. I also posted on your Google+ page.
